Daelmans Jumbo Stroopwafel

Daelmans Jumbo Stroopwafel
Daelmans Jumbo Stroopwafel
This is what I've been willing to share to you for a long time yet never manage to take the picture and write the review. Heaven. Yup, no other words.

I found it first on the mini-mart at the train station (but the last time i went there, they don't sell it anymore T.T). I bought it because it reminds me of something i saw from the food tv shows.

The stroopwafel is made of thin and crisp layers of waffle with caramel syrup filling. The instruction said to put stroopwafel on top of your hot cup of tea before munching it, to make it warm and soft. But I like them both soft and crispy. It's still taste amazing. Ten out of ten.

*As you heat it on top of the cup of tea, the caramel filling is melting like drool. I will upload the photo later

Sego Jagung or Corn Rice

Sego Jagung or Corn RiceIt's traditional snack time! I went biking some time ago and saw an old lady selling some traditional snack by the street. I pulled over to see what she selling and a mound of corn grain catch my attention.

She scoops the corn inside the conical banana leaf and i'm ready to go. One thing I like from the packaging is that i don't have to worry about the earth and it's plastic problem :D. Hey, it's eco-friendly.

As you probably think it would be a salty snack, excuse me, no it's not. The appearance can be deceiving but it's made of boiled (or steamed, or idk, the grain is beyond normal and puffed) corn, coconut flakes, little bit of salt and guess what, sugar. Lots of refined sugar.
I'm okay with the taste, the coconut flakes really gives out the flavor.

"Papapuff" Caramel Corn

Papapuff
Last week, when I seek for a snack in one convenience store, my eyes stuck at the series of this new snack in Indonesia. The package a bit look like Tohato's Caramel Corn in Japan, the difference is only in the front face. As for Tohato, they look like a face of a cat, in the case of Papapuff is a face of bearded Papa. :D

Intrigued by the similarities, I decided to buy one with butter caramel flavor. And..ta da . It is really caramel corn!! As a caramel corn fans, it's not bad. Papapuff comes in 3 flavor, Cafe Mocha, Condensed Milk and my favorite, Butter Caramel. I'm sure it's gonna be a new trend in Jakarta.

Nestle's Violet Crumble

nestle violet crumble honeycomb

Yes, I'm still posting about australian snacks and this 15 cm long snack (quite big) is another giveaway from my mother. Can you see the packaging? It's so eyecatching and has a very unique slogan "It's the way it shatters that matters". (well, i don't really get what that means). At the first glance I thought the snack has something violet in it, but da-da not even a slightest violet I see when I eat it. (kinda wonderin what does it mean).

Honestly, I felt, WOW!! The first bite is kinda tough, because in my expectation, it's just a biscuit coated chocolate. But I am completely wrong. As you can see, the ivory coated part is really look like a biscuit but it's actually made from honeycomb. The honeycomb itself is really crunchy and sweet, perfect combination with the chocolate. Great Nestle! (I give you two thumb). This is a really new flavor sensation for me.

Cadbury Freddo

Cadbury Freddo chocolate
My mom just came back from Brisbane, Australia and look what she found for me!! it's Cadburry Freddo, which is a cute little frog-shaped milk chocolate. Talking about the taste, it has no different from the classic Cadbury's milk chocolate. You know, typical Cadbury. Gooey, chewy and soft. I love that kind of chocolate though.

"BIG" Custard Pudding

Big Custard Pudding

If you have a sweet tooth like me and planning to go to Japan, you should try this pudding. I can't read japanese, but after tasting it I'm quite sure that this is a custard pudding. The pudding is sweet (of course) and melt in your mouth. Heavenly taste
You can easily find it in minimart nearby, such as Lawson and Family Mart.
