Daelmans Jumbo Stroopwafel

Daelmans Jumbo Stroopwafel
Daelmans Jumbo Stroopwafel
This is what I've been willing to share to you for a long time yet never manage to take the picture and write the review. Heaven. Yup, no other words.

I found it first on the mini-mart at the train station (but the last time i went there, they don't sell it anymore T.T). I bought it because it reminds me of something i saw from the food tv shows.

The stroopwafel is made of thin and crisp layers of waffle with caramel syrup filling. The instruction said to put stroopwafel on top of your hot cup of tea before munching it, to make it warm and soft. But I like them both soft and crispy. It's still taste amazing. Ten out of ten.

*As you heat it on top of the cup of tea, the caramel filling is melting like drool. I will upload the photo later

Sego Jagung or Corn Rice

Sego Jagung or Corn RiceIt's traditional snack time! I went biking some time ago and saw an old lady selling some traditional snack by the street. I pulled over to see what she selling and a mound of corn grain catch my attention.

She scoops the corn inside the conical banana leaf and i'm ready to go. One thing I like from the packaging is that i don't have to worry about the earth and it's plastic problem :D. Hey, it's eco-friendly.

As you probably think it would be a salty snack, excuse me, no it's not. The appearance can be deceiving but it's made of boiled (or steamed, or idk, the grain is beyond normal and puffed) corn, coconut flakes, little bit of salt and guess what, sugar. Lots of refined sugar.
I'm okay with the taste, the coconut flakes really gives out the flavor.

Yogurette

Yogurette Chocolate Yogurt
Have you ever tasted Ritter Sport yoghurt? Yup, the package pink. I know the taste is heavenly sweet and sour perfectly in your mouth. But if you’re someone who is against gelatin, yogurette could be the perfect friend to accompany you when shit happens!

Just take one bar out and give it one dice bite, and smiiileee…. its taste is so light, sweet, not too sour, and a lil bit creamy in one bite. Surprise! No more licking your finger. Those 10 bars are wrapped separately.

And if 20 cent euro means the world to you, make sure yogurette is always in your bag.
Last but not least, give this cutie baby pink chocolate to your friends in your home town and say, "made in Germany".

Meiji Papaya Flavored Milk

meiji papaya unique flavored milk
I hate papaya and yet still buying papaya flavored milk out of curiosity. Probably because here in Indonesia we barely have ANYthing papaya flavored, so i automaticly pick out papaya instead of the choco or melon flavored one.

The thought of, "let's try it, but don't expect too much from it!" turns into "well, it's okay. I think i can finish it." The milk itself tastes creamy with a light hint of papaya without that slimy feeling you get when you eat the real one. I wonder why I can put it in my mouth and digest it. Tried to read the label, but failed because it's in Thai's.

Wall's Lime Flavored Ice Cream

Lime flavored ice cream
Last month I visited Phuket and had a week full of fantastic meals and snacks, thus forgot to take pictures of every food I ate. In the end, I only got 3 or 4 shaky food pics, so I need the superpower of The Great Adobe Photoshop.  When I travel, the obligatory things to do is visiting the market. That means traditional market, the supermarket and also the convenience store.

When I took a glance at the convenience store freezer, this ice cream caught my attention. Lime! Like it shows in the package (Or is it not? I'm not sure with the writing, but I think it's lime). Well, anyway it tastes weird for me. I can't even taste the strong tanginess and the freshness of the lime. I spent a long time to find the exact word for this. I can taste a tiny lime-like zest at first, but after the second and third and so on, I'm confused of what am I actually eat. Give it a try, it's fun!

Crisp Choco

Heyhoo, I'm back!! After a year and a half, I've finally managed to click the sign in button on blogger and write another review. Also, my friend are going to work in Germany and she's agree to share her favorite sweets there. Can't wait to to read her review.

And now, I present you Crisp Choco, which was an "oleh-oleh" from another friend of mine. The packaging is super cute, but how does it taste? This pizza-like chocolate coated cornflakes taste surprisingly light and crisp, not like the chocolate coated cornflakes in a cup you usually find on Eid-il Fitr which mostly soggy already  (If you're from Indonesia, I think you know it). Although taste light, the chocolate doesn't have that cheap-powdery after taste. Another recommendation.

Delfi "Treasures"

I don't like and never ever like Oreo, but recently i picked and ate everything that Oreo-ish (what in the world is that?!). Well, you know, cookies and cream remind you of that black and white thing, Oreo.

So, this kind of truffle-like-chocolate has bits of oreo on it. The white chocolate ganache melts in your mouth but the Oreo crumbs avoid you to gulp it like water. Yeah, you got some mouth exercise there.
It's quite pricey for four small block of chocolate, but it's worth it.
